And I've got answers!
I'm definitely a light & airy photographer with a sprinkle of boldness. I love capturing natural light and keeping my subjects in focus and making everything around them soft. My style is to capture the day as it unfolds and let most of the images be non-camera-aware but not afraid to direct and pose when needed.
I sure do! Most venues don't let photographers (or really any vendor) work at their location without liability insurance.
Heck no! That's crazy talk and not my style at all. I'm 100% yours on your wedding day.
Rest assured, this has never happened. But since we are talking hypothetical here, I have LOTS of photography friends in the industry who I've asked to step in for me in case this crazy situation were to become reality. Don't worry they are just as awesome as I am (or super close anyway).
As much as I'd love to book every single wedding that comes my way, I cap my wedding season off at 20-25 weddings per year.
Typically I book my couples anywhere from six to twelve months out. If you're ready to book me as your photographer I would not hesitate to do so. I can not hold your wedding date without a signed contract and retainer fee.
I shoot Canon and currently have two 5d mark iii's. If you wanna nerd out with me here is the equipment I currently carry with me on wedding days: Canon 50mm 1.2, Canon 24-105, Canon 85mm 1.2, Canon 100mm 2.8, Canon 70-200 2.8 and a couple of external flashes for when it gets dark out! Otherwise I travel pretty light!
God forbid there are any malfunctions but YES, 100% absolutely! I do everything in my power to make sure your images are captured and stay safe. I shoot on two camera bodies throughout the day and each camera body has two individual cards the images are writing to in case one card were to fail. I also have multiple lenses, flashes and hard drives that I back your images up to after the wedding.
I'm a huge believer in sneak peeks after your wedding day. I want you to re-live that day as soon as possible. I'll send you a handful of sneak peeks within 24 hours of your wedding! With that being said, I'm a one-women wolf pack and do everything myself. During the busy wedding season, your images might take a tad longer for me to deliver. Full galleries take 3-4 weeks to be delivered.
You'll receive all your high resolution images on an online gallery that will be available for at least two years. Please make sure to download all your images to an external hard drive and keep them in a safe place. You images are not watermarked and they are available in a high resolution JPEG for print.
Absolutely! I'm a huge believer of making your images into something tangible. Creating wedding albums is my JAM! But also a huge sucker for beautiful framed prints and canvases. I can help you with ordering all of this or you can conveniently order prints and some other products through your online gallery site!
I love to travel and explore new locations! If your wedding is in one of my bucket list locations I’ll most likely travel for free! Shoot me an email so we can discuss my travel requirements for your wedding.
If you've chosen to have a second shooter on your wedding day then you're probably curious on who that will be. Unfortunately, I can't give you a name until we are closer to the wedding date. I have a long list I work off of and 98% of the time I've worked with the photographer before. We are so blessed in this industry though that I've never once had a problem finding or hiring a second shooter.
Of course, I'm here to help you make the best decisions for the day. I recommend having a second shooter on your wedding day if you have over 75-100 guests or more than six hours of coverage. Although it's not required, it produces more images of your wedding day and also helps me out when I need an extra hand. If you're having a small ceremony, guest list and kept your details to a minimum then I'm all you need!
I require a 25% non-refundable deposit in order to hold your wedding date. I offer payment plans if the wedding is more than a year out. After the deposit is paid and the contract is signed then we're official! Kinda like when you say "I do" in a few months ;)
With so many venues and locations in the bay area it’s hard to shoot them all. This being said, I LOVE shooting at new venues and locations and can be available during my slow season (Jan-May) to do a site visit with you if you want!
I feel so honored when my wedding clients want me to photograph their life after the vows have been exchanged! I offer maternity, newborn, family and so many other milestone sessions and I would love to be your forever photographer!!
